O objeto de estudo deste artigo é a motivação no trabalho. Pretende-se levantar os índices de satisfação e de motivação da Força de Trabalho de Petrobrás Distribuidora (BR) nos Estados da Bahia e de Sergipe, correlacionando-os com alguns perfis laborais. Pressupõe-se que variáveis como idade, sexo, vínculo empregatício, tempo de trabalho e área de atuação afetem significativamente os índices de satisfação e de motivação. O instrumento utilizado foi um questionário estruturado e padronizado do tipo “survey”, complementado por pesquisa bibliográfica. Inferiu-se que o índice de satisfação da força de trabalho é superior ao índice de motivação, sendo que os índices são bastante afetados por alguns perfis laborais, sugerindo-se à BR centrar sua atuação para desenvolvimento nos aspectos motivacionais.

The object of study of this article is the motivation in the work. It is intended to raise the indices of satisfaction and motivation of the Force of Work of Deliverering Petrobra's (BR) in the States of the Bahia and of Sergipe, being correlated them with some labor profiles. One estimate that changeable as age, sex, employment bond, time of work and area of performance significantly affect the motivation and satisfaction indices. The used instrument was a questionnaire structuralized and standardized of the type "survey", complemented for bibliographical research. It was inferred that the index of satisfaction of the work force is superior to the motivation index, being that the indices sufficiently are affected by some labor profiles, suggesting it the BR to center its performance for development in the motivations aspects.
